He is involved among others in the a priori assessment of adjuvant products. He has a master’s degree in public health and Environmental Risks following pharmacy studies in the Faculty of Sciences at Paris-Sud University.

She is member of association expert teams dealing with residue related topics (including MRL setting).

Dee Clarke has been working within the crop protection industry for more than 30 years, starting out in residue chemistry and latterly in human risk assessment. She is a Principal Technical Expert in Human Safety at Syngenta and leads the ECPA Residue Definition Group; she is also a co-lead of the OECD Working Group on Residue Definition.

Tamara Coja is a Biologist and has been working as a Regulatory Toxicologist and Senior Expert at the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) in Vienna. Since 2007 she has been involved in toxicological evaluation of pesticides. Her special regulatory interest is in toxicity of metabolites in residues of plant and animal origin and in groundwater. Since 2018 she is a member of the EFSA PPR Panel and joined working groups.

Julian Cudmore is a senior science officer in residues and dietary exposure at the chemicals regulation division of the UK HSE. He leads on technical aspects of MRLs. He has represented the UK as a technical expert at a range of EU and EFSA meetings, is a member of the JMPR and holds a PhD in chemistry.

Bruno Dujardin is a Senior Scientific Officer at EFSA dealing with exposure assessment. He provides horizontal support to EFSA's scientific units and panels for the assessment of dietary exposure to chemicals in food or feed and has many years of experience in pesticide residue risk assessment. Before joining EFSA, he worked for the Federal Public Service for Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment in Belgium.

Caroline Harris is the Centre Director for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety in Exponent International’s UK office. After many years as a Regulator at CRD, she continues to be involved with MRLs, import tolerances and pesticide residues in international trade. She also remains highly active in the field of consumer risk assessment.

Karsten Hohgardt is the Head of the unit responsible for risk management in the field of toxicology and residue behaviour at BVL. Since 2006 he has also been Deputy Head of Department “Plant Protection Products“. His main experience lies in MRL setting and residue behaviour.

Danish Technical University, Denmark
Susanne Hougaard Bennekou joined the Division of Risk Assessment and Nutrition at the National Food Institute of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a Senior Advisor in toxicology in January. She has previously worked as a Senior Advisor in the Pesticide Division of the Danish EPA. She was the Vice-Chair of the EFSA PPR panel and since last year she has been a Vice-Chair of the EFSA Scientific Committee.

Samira Jarrah has been working for EFSA as a scientific officer-Plant Protection Products Residues since 2010. Prior to EFSA, she worked for more than 13 years at the Ministry of Agriculture at the Federal Public Service “Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment” in Belgium as a Pesticide residues’ expert. She is a food chemist and studied at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences in Gembloux, Belgium.

Daniel Kunkel received a Ph.D. from Cornell University and has been with the IR-4 Minor Use Program for nearly 30 years. Dr. Kunkel serves as a US delegation member for: NAFTA Technical Working group on Pesticides, CODEX Committee on Pesticide Residues and is a member of the OECD Expert Working Group on Minor Uses and is a member of the US EPA Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee. In 2016, he was awarded with the IUPAC International Award for Advances in Harmonized Approaches to Crop Protection Chemistry.

After a paramedic training Philip Marx-Stölting studied biochemistry and philosophy in Tübingen/ Germany and Brisbane/Australia. He completed his PhD-thesis (Dr. rer. nat.) in biochemistry/ toxicology on chemically induced hepatocarcinogenesis in the group of Michael Schwarz where he also assisted in coordinating the EU-project ReProTect. He is head of the project group ‘Testing and assessment strategies pesticides’ at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in the pesticides safety department and head of the BfR working group on endocrine disruptors. Additionally he is a member of the OECD EDTA. He is teaching toxicology at TU Berlin and Charité. His research interests are liver toxicity, endocrine disruption and mixture effects. He is a specialist in toxicology (Fachtoxikologe, DGPT) and an Eurotox registered toxicologist (ERT).

Angelo Moretto is Professor of occupational medicine at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the University of Milan as well as the Director of the International Centre for Pesticides and Health Risks Prevention (ICPS). He has been involved in the risk assessment of chemicals, especially of pesticides for many years including the risk assessment of combined exposures within JMPR, EFSA and the EuroMix project.

Christian Prohaska studied food and biotechnology in Vienna. He worked for public bodies dealing with the risk assessment of plant protection products before he gained a postgraduate degree in toxicology and started working at AGES in 2002.

Christian Schlechtriem is Head of Department ‘‘Bioaccumulation & Animal Metabolism’ at IME. He has years of experience in fish physiology, aquaculture nutrition and aquatic ecology and is involved in several projects on the development of study concepts for the assessment of bioaccumulation and metabolism of pesticides and other chemicals in fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Dieter Schrenk has been a Professor for Food Chemistry and Environmental Toxicology at the University of Kaiserslautern since 1996. In 2005 he took on the full professorship for Food Chemistry and Toxicology. He joined the EFSA CONTAM Panel in 2003. Since 2018 he has been the Chair of this panel.

Agnieszka Szturc-Koetsier works at the Board of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) as a Scientific Assessor Residues since 2014. She is involved in assessment of active substances, MRL setting and authorization of plant protection products. As a residue expert she regularly takes part in Pesticide Peer Review Meetings organized by EFSA.

Carmen Tiu is an Organic Chemist and is the Global MRL & Import Tolerance Leader at Corteva Agrisciences (former Dow and Dupont). She has worked in R&D for over 32 years, with expertise in Residues, MRL’s and Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Regulatory and Public Affairs, and Formulations Development.

European Commission, Belgium
Alexandra Tuijtelaars joined the European Commission in 2011. Since June 2018 she works in DG Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) as Policy Coordinator in the unit Food chain science and stakeholder relations. She is part of the team responsible for the overall implementation of the Transparency Regulation. Before joining DG SANTE she worked as Research Policy Officer in the unit Agri-Food Chain of DG Research and Innovation. Alexandra obtained her degree in Food Sciences from the University of Wageningen, the Netherlands. Prior to joining the Commission, she worked as project manager for the French cereal sector, as researcher for TNO Innovation for Life, as Nutrition Officer at the headquarters of the International Dairy Federation, and as Senior Scientific Project Manager for the International Life Sciences Institute.

Jacob van Klaveren has been working for RIVM as a Senior Scientific Advisor since 2010. Currently he coordinates the EFSA-RIVM partnership on the follow-up ACROPOLIS and the EuroMix project. He coordinated the R&D programme on food safety for Wageningen Research, the EU funded ACROPOLIS project and the EuroMix project.
