Part 1 of the Online Series on the CSS +++Free recording+++
In association with the legal firm Mayer Brown Akademie Fresenius is bringing to you a brand-new series on the EU's fast-evolving Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability.
The Series aims at highlighting and discussing the impact the CSS will have on different regulatory areas. It is addressed to the chemical industry and its downstream industries, as they find themselves in an increasingly demanding situation with the impending implementation of the CSS. Together with various stakeholders, we want to work towards practical solutions and envisage practical scenarios. The focus shall be on the central questions: How can Industry cope with the upcoming changes, what are possible scenarios and which coping mechanisms are at hand or need to be developed?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Together with more than 100 participants, we explored the overall idea and potential impact of the CSS in Part I. Otto Linher (European Commission) introduced the main aspects of the CSS, which were then critically reviewed and discussed by Suzanne Wiandt (German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), Martin Klatt (BASF) and Andrew Fasey (Mayer Brown), as well as the Chair Jean-Philippe Montfort (Mayer Brown).
